Thank you to all our early supporters and readers!
We’re so glad some of you are enjoying the headlines we curate for you. The idea is to post a daily dose of the best (and by best, we mean worst) California stories, from a right-wing perspective. But you don’t have to be on the right to agree that everything in California is awful. Everything.
Lots of our sane friends have fled to sane (red) states, but some of us are stuck here for the foreseeable future. Last January, one of our editors had to flee her home as the Altadena fire came within a few blocks of burning it down. Nearly every day, one of us encounters another reminder that we live in a post-apocalyptic kleptocracy run (lol) by people who hate us and want us all dead. We regularly see piles of bodies along the road next to heaps of trash. We see packs of illegals selling pilfered wares, and drugs, in parks. We see good people priced out of starter homes. We see beaches we can’t use (filled with junkies) and can’t get to (freeways too chaotic).
Well, until we figure out how to get out of here, at least we can enjoy the weather!
Er, not today though.
In 2026, we hope to expand THE MAGPIE FLYER with more original reporting and stories, and a newsletter for subscribers. Tell us what you’d like to see! You can email us at editor@magpieflyer.com. Please send us any news tips, too.
In the meantime, thanks to all who have bookmarked the site. Our goal is to shine a hot spotlight on the darkest, dankest corners of California’s corruption and mismanagement, and maybe even save it one day.
We hope you have a blessed Christmas with your family and friends. We will be taking a few days off after Christmas, barring any big breaking news, but will be back soon!
Much love,
The MAGPIE FLYER Editors
P.S. This website is a labor of love for our fellow prisoners of California. If you’d like to help us keep this going in the new year, please feel free to donate a few dollars to our unpaid efforts. We’re so grateful for your help!
